I’ll have your due date on my calendar and leave plenty of availability for your session. Most families choose to have their session within the first 2 weeks of bringing their baby home. This allows for us to gently position the baby while they are calm, relaxed, and in a deep sleep.

I’m a Newborn and Family Photographer serving the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. I also travel to High-Point, Greensboro, Charlotte, Statesville, and the immediate surrounding areas.


• All wraps and equipment are sanitized prior to your session.

• All Newborn sessions are scheduled at least 24 hours apart.

• All adults in my home are fully vaccinated.

• I will be wearing a mask during all indoor Newborn sessions.

• Upon entering your home, I’ll wash and sanitize my hands. I carry hand sanitizer with me and will use it regularly throughout your Newborn session.

• Contact with your baby is minimal unless you prefer I swaddle, calm, or adjust your baby during your Newborn session.

Entrusting me with your newborn and family is such an honor. I take the following precautions to ensure I keep your family safe: 

Newborn Sessions are normally 1-1.5 hours. We will schedule for a time shortly after they’ve eaten to ensure they’ll be good and sleepy for their session. 1 hour is usually plenty of time to get several shots, as well as budget for some time for feeding or soothing your baby if they become fussy. Don’t worry, I’ll never leave your session until I feel confident you’ll be pleased with what I’ve captured.

I want to make sure you feel comfortable and beautiful in anything you put on! I do recommend avoiding bold patterns or bright and saturated colors. Neutrals always photograph beautifully and create a timeless look and feel. I usually suggest a dress in white, cream, or a lighter shade of your favorite color for mom, a simple swaddle for baby, and a complementary color for dad and siblings. The neutral tones will give your photos a more elegant look and feel and ensure they look great and photograph gorgeously in any room of your home.

My Newborn Photography style is a natural and intimate in-home session. I don’t do any of the staged poses you sometimes see with studio newborn photography, such as propping their head up. I’d rather capture your baby’s nursery with your family cozy and relaxed inside, tiny toes and hands, and overall a more authentic story than studios and props allow. I don’t bring many props other than a few neutral swaddles; however, if you have headbands, outfits, etc. you’d like me to use during your session, I’m more than happy to do so. I often like to use things you love  within your home to make your session and your final selections more personal to your family.
